Hi all! I've been a licensed massage therapist and esthetician for over a decade. I came to Tacoma 12 years ago by way of Colorado by way of Massachusetts. People always ask me what I love most about my job and I actually got my answer from a client a few years back when she told me "Every time I get a massage from you, it makes me feel so grateful and appreciative of my body." Best. Compliment. Ever. I think about how much time we spend beating ourselves up for not looking a certain way, for being sick or injured, or for feeling like we are just not enough. The fact that I potentially lend a hand in changing those narratives from negative to positive is truly an honor and a privilege. If you know me, then you know how much I love your WHOLE life and how much I want people to live their best lives, for real. And that's really what Oakes & Alder is all about, self-care in all forms.
